John Day
Executive Manager Operations

John has more than 25 years of experience in Water and Wastewater operational roles, both in the water and manufacturing industries.

As Executive Manager Operations, John oversees the critical functions of water treatment and delivery, wastewater capture and treatment, along with our range of reclaimed water schemes.

As the current president of the Water Industry Operators Association, he also brings a wealth of network knowledge to North East Water.

 

Kevin Freeman
Executive Manager Planning and Infrastructure

Kevin began working with the Corporation in 1998 and took over the management of the infrastructure group in 2001. He was appointed Executive Manager Assets in May 2007.

With 18 years of water industry experience, Kevin brings a strong technical background to the position in the delivery of water-related infrastructure projects.

Leading the Planning & Infrastructure unit, Kevin manages a team responsible for the strategic planning, delivery and project management of the Corporation’s capital improvement and asset management programs. His team is also responsible for the management of the Corporation’s Dams portfolio and provides technical and engineering functions and support across the Corporation.

Kevin holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering, a Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Engineering, and is a member of the Institute of Water Administration and Australian Water Association.

 

Ann Telford
Executive Manager Customer and Community

Ann has recently joined North East Water to head up the Customer and Community team.

Previous to North East Water, Ann worked in management roles at Hume Alliance, EPA, the Department of Human Services, Red Cross and City Of Wodonga.

As Executive Manager Customer and Community, Ann has responsibility for Communications, Human Resources and Customer Relations. A key part of her role is the integration of the Corporation's Strategic Intent through all levels of the organisation.

Ann has also held directors positions on several community boards including the Goulburn Ovens TAFE and Alpine Valleys Community Leadership Program.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts and the ANZSOG Executive Master of Public Administration.

 

Anthony Hernan
Executive Manager Corporate Services

Prior to taking on the additional responsibilities of the Customer Services Unit, Anthony had managed the Corporation’s Financial Services Unit since 2004.  He was appointed Chief Financial Officer in April 2004. He brings to the role a strong internal customer focus and refined financial analysis skills.

During his 12 year involvement with the Corporation, Anthony has been able to develop water industry management skills and he currently participates at state level through the Institute of Water Administration’s Finance Special Interest Group that looks at finance issues across all state water corporations.
