Craig brings a strong external and internal customer focus to the role of Managing Director. Experience gained across a range of technical and financial roles provides a unique opportunity to understand and adequately plan for the ever-changing challenges facing modern water corporations.
Craig is responsible for ensuring the governance and strategic initiatives of the Board are undertaken, while establishing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, taking a lead role in new industry developments and ensuring the Corporation as a whole performs to its full potential.Â
Fiona Smith

Executive Manager Operations
Fiona commenced with North East Water in September 2005 and was appointed Executive Manager, Operations in May 2007. Fiona is responsible for the management of water and wastewater services across north east Victoria, including raw water supplies, water and wastewater treatment, reticulation and reuse operations. Prior to her current role Fiona spent 15 years working the utility sector with roles in water, wastewater and commercial management.
Fiona holds a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Business Administration (Technology Management).
Anthony Hernan

Chief Financial Officer
Anthony has managed the financial services group of North East Water since 2004 and brings to the role of Chief Financial Officer a strong internal customer focus and refined financial analysis skills.
During his 10 year involvement with North East Water, Anthony has been able to develop water industry management skills and he currently participates at state level through the Institute of Water Administration where he serves as the chairperson of the Finance Special Interest Group that looks at Finance issues across all state water corporations.
As part of the Financial Services group, he shares the responsibility for the smooth operation of all financial functions, including asset management, payroll, accounts payable, taxation, budgeting, treasury, revenue control, fleet management and statutory financial reporting.
Kevin Freeman

Executive Manager Assets
Kevin has been in the water industry for 15 years, commencing with North East Water in 1998. He brings with him a strong technical background in the delivery of water related infrastructure projects.
Leading the Asset Service group, he manages a team responsible for the delivery and project management of the Corporation's capital improvement and asset management programs. His team also provides technical and engineering functions and support for the Corporation.
John Morris

Executive Manager Business Services
John began at North East Water in July 2000, bringing a strong and varied background of customer service to the organisation.
The Business Services unit covers the areas of Customer Service, and Property Services, which includes Plumbing, Minor Trade Waste, and Subdivisions.
The group also covers ancillary administrative support areas for the Corporation. In addition to these areas of responsibility John is also the contact officer for privacy matters and the Energy and Water Ombudsman (Victoria) in relation to customer complaints.
Eamonn Tobin

Executive Manager Information Systems
With more than 28 years of water industry experience, Eamonn possesses both information technology and water industry management skills, combined with local government experience and local knowledge. He has over 30 years experience in IT and was the inaugural chair of the Institute of Water Administration's IT Special Interest Group.
Eamonn manages the Information Systems team, which looks after the wide-ranging areas of IT, telecommunications, GIS, Records Management and Automation/Electrical. The IS team is also charged with looking at new and innovative initiatives that will continue to drive North East Water into the future.
Jennifer Hayes

Executive Manager Corporate Strategy
Jennifer commenced with North East Water as Executive Manager Corporate Strategy in August 2008. In this role, Jennifer is responsible for Strategic Planning, Corporate Governance including the smooth transition of information and strategy between the Board and the rest of the Corporation, Media and Communications, Sustainability and Environment, Human Resources and OHS.
Prior to joining North East Water, Jennifer spent 15 years working in the private sector, predominantly in senior Finance and Management roles, both locally and abroad. Jennifer is a Certified Practicing Accountant and is due to complete her Masters of Business in early 2010. She is a member of the Australian Water Association (AWA), Institute of Water Administration (IWA) and CPA Australia.
