The North East Water education program is a diverse and flexible program for our communities to learn more about our catchment, water supplies and sustainable water use. The main objectives of the program are to:

Increase community awareness of sustainable water use;
Provide tools and resources to empower communities; and
Promote North East Water and our operations.

Schools

The North East Water education program is designed to provide teachers with the skills and resources to educate students on the journey of our water from the catchment to the tap and from the tap back into the catchment.

Community

North East Water is committed to further develop and enhance our ongoing commitment to community awareness of sustainable water use. Get involved in some of our competitions or our swap and save showerhead exchange program.

Resources

North East Water works in close partnership with our regional and state programs and educators to provide meaningful resources for our regional schools and communities. We have developed regional water units that can be easily incorporated into your school. In this section you will find information on our region and handy hints on how to be more water wise.

Events

Every year North East Water coordinates and participates in a number of events throughout our catchment. Access information to our current events including: Student Environment Days, teacher professional development events and National Water Week activities and competitions.
