The above tariffs apply to Supply by Agreements with the exception that a 20% reduction will be applied to volumetric charges where the supply is non-potable
(i.e. Does not meet world health organisation guidelines).

*Fixed water charges for Eskdale are calculated on a 50% loading above the standard fixed rate. Any increase in meter size, for this system, will be charged on the same basis.

Charging for Services

Water
The Corporation will commence billing a property from the date of supply of water (tapping) to the property.

Sewerage
The Corporation will commence billing for sewerage at the end of the calendar month from issue of the P.I.C. consent number unless notified of extenuating circumstances at the time of issue of consent.

Restriction Charges (GST Free)

If a visit to a property is required to obtain payment for account, a $55.70 fee is payable during business hours and $178.50 for after hours.

Subdivision Administration Charges

In addition to the relevant new customer contributions developments attract the following charges:

Administration and Auditing charge levied at the rate of 3.5% on the estimated value of the works.
Maintenance deposit (refundable) levied at the rate of 5% on the estimated value of the works.

North East Water may also undertake the planning and development of minor subdivisions. Under these circumstances NEW will levy charges at the rate of 10% on the estimated value of the works.

Fees relating to private property connections for water & sewerage services

Charges have been made in accordance with the Essential Services Commission's final determination on North East Water's prices and are derived from the Corporation's Water Supply and Sewerage Administrative By Law 125.
