Drinking Water Re-Fill Station officially opened in Myrtleford

Drinking Water Re-Fill Station officially opened in Myrtleford

13 Jun 2012

The new drinking water re-fill station recently installed in Myrtleford was officially opened by the Member for Benalla Bill Sykes yesterday.

The re-fill station was installed in the new Myrtleford open space area off Clyde St, which has been officially named the "Myrtleford Piazza."

The project was a collaboration between North East Water and Alpine Shire and is the first of it's kind in North East Water. It recognises the work and dedication of the Myrtleford Reference Group who were instrumental in working with North East Water to secure safe, high quality drinking water for the Myrtleford township.

The re-fill station enables locals and visitors at any time to refill their water bottle or use the bubbler tap to receive drinking water.  The unit is also dog friendly as well.
