What Is It?

« Previous | Index | Next »
Home » Sustainability

To be sustainable is to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.[1] This definition is one of many that has drawn on efforts nationally and internationally to articulate a process to ensure greater equity in development and diminish the central focus on economic impacts.

Sustainability is delivered through recognition of the impacts of decisions on the environment AND the economy AND the community.
