North East Water has prepared a Developer's Handbook as a guide to persons needing to provide water supply and sewerage services on new subdivisions.

The information in the handbook covers the role that the Corporation has in setting water and sewerage conditions as a referral authority under the Planning and Environment Act 1987. It details the procedures to be followed by persons in order to meet the planning permit requirements and obtain clearances for subdivision plans.

Included in the handbook are requirements for water and sewerage provision, details about relevant fees and charges, information regarding the various types of plans, with relevant industry terms and definitions.
