Infrastructure

The infrastructure required to collect and treat sewage from the thousands of homes, businesses and industries within our region includes sewer mains and pipes, sewerage pumping stations, wastewater treatment plants and recycled water reuse sites.

Currently the quantities of these items are as follows:

Sewer mains and pipes	1,078 kms
Sewerage pumping stations	143
Wastewater treatment plants	18
Recycled water reuse sites	33
